July 2022 Release Overview
Following is a quick update on the PhiMatrix June 2022 release:
- All users must update to the new releases of PhiMatrix, which is required to meet increasing industry standards for 64-bit and SSL security.
- Due to the high cost of making this update available, those who purchased before July 2022 will need to purchase new licenses.
- As it’s important to me to offer great customer service, a coupon code for discounted prices is being emailed to all existing users:
- FREE for those who purchased within the last two years.
- 67% off for those who purchased from three to five years ago.
- 50% off for those who purchased over five years ago.
- Steps to complete the upgrade are:
- UNINSTALL: Uninstall your current versions of PhiMatrix and delete any desktop icons.
- DOWNLOAD: Download and install the new releases of Pro and/or Design), for Windows and/or Mac, from the home page at www.phimatrix.com or from the links further below.
- PURCHASE: Use the License – Purchase menu option in the software to purchase a new license, entering your coupon code on the last page of the shopping cart.
- If you own both Pro and Design and are eligible for the free upgrade, do not select the Pro/Design Combo offer. Instead, make two separate purchases at the online store and use the coupon code on each product to get the free upgrade on both.
- Rather than using the License – Purchase menu option, you can also go directly to the online stores for PhiMatrix 1.618 Pro and PhiMatrix Golden Ratio Design.
- RELAUNCH: Close PhiMatrix and relaunch to complete.
- VERIFY: Use the Help – About menu item to verify that the release date is showing as 2022.07.04 or later.
- Other notes:
- If you previously purchased only Pro, you can purchase Design for only $7 more in the shopping cart checkout.
- Each license can be used on Windows and Mac, and can be moved to other computers as often as you like by using the License – Deactivate and License – Activate menu options.
- Licenses for additional computers of the same user are available upon request for Pro at $9.95 and Design at $5.95.

New versions of PhiMatrix are now available for download
In June 2022, new versions of PhiMatrix Golden Ratio (GR) and PhiMatrix 1.618 Pro (Pro) were released and are now available for download:

Update was required by industry security standards
These releases address the increasing industry requirements for enhanced security, and include the 64 bit application requirement by Apple with macOS Catalina and the HTTPS/SSL requirement for licensing servers used by PhiMatrix.
Updates include new features and bug fixes
The new releases provide some feature improvements, including a Screen Scaling option to allow the screen save, copy and print functions to work with any user monitor resolution size, display resolution setting or scaling option, and also correction of some minor bugs, most notably with the Save Default Settings function that was not working properly on the interim release.
Users will need a new license code for the new versions
These new versions will require a new license code. License codes purchased before June 11, 2022 will NOT work with the new releases.
New license code discounts for previous purchasers are available
My intent has always been to make PhiMatrix a “one-time purchase.” As there was a relatively high cost to make these updates available to you, users will need to pay for the upgrade. As you’ve likely seen with other software you use, the ongoing cost of meeting increasing technology standards and providing ongoing service is why most software companies have gone to subscription billing models (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe and many others) or relatively high annual upgrade costs.
To minimize the impact on PhiMatrix users, those who purchased within the past two years will receive the upgrade for FREE. Those who purchased PhiMatrix more than two years ago will receive a coupon code to purchase their new licenses at a discounted price. If you did not receive this by email, please send a request for a coupon code via the Contact page.

Note that you can add Golden Ratio Design for only $7 with the purchase of Pro. Purchases from the online store can be activated in the software by using the License – Activate menu option. Licenses can be moved to another computer as many times as you want by using the License – Deactivate and License Activate menu options.
