Hello. I’m Gary Meisner, the developer of PhiMatrix. I’m the author of Phi: The Golden Number, one of the Internet’s top-ranked sites on the Golden Ratio. I’m also the author of the book “The Golden Ratio – The Divine Beauty of Mathemetics,” which is now in nine translations and leading its category on Amazon with 82% 5-Star reviews. PhiMatrix was inspired by my own growing awareness of the beauty and mathematical design found in life and the universe. The concept of PhiMatrix, the “golden ruler” and “golden grid,” was first introduced on another site I developed in 1997, presented on GoldenNumber.net in 2001 and developed as PhiMatrix software in 2004.

My goal is to help you better appreciate the beauty and design in the world around you, and to apply the same principles of design found in nature in any of your own creative pursuits. I love both the arts and sciences, but am more gifted in the analytic, left-brained side than in innate right-brain artistic skills. Conversely, many creative, artistic types are often not as strong in mathematics. PhiMatrix is my “work of art”, created to help others to easily apply the mathematics, trigonometry and geometry in nature with the ease of selecting a template and clicking and dragging it over anything you desire to design.
