Hello PhiMatrix friends,
Good news! The 64-bit updates to PhiMatrix for macOS Catalina are ready. You can download the DMG file for either version of PhiMatrix (Pro or Design) at the bottom of this page.
These downloads will work with your existing license codes.
Requesting your support
Although payment isn’t mandatory for your update to work, I’m asking that you make a payment in one of two ways below to help me cover the costs of developing it for you.
These new 64 bit versions had a high cost, with updates or renewals required on at least ten different platforms or services: Development platform, plugins, licensing, e-commerce, Apple Developer subscription, XCode, digital certifications, distribution wrapper, website updates, new graphics, a new Mac with Catalina and more. I also had to pay for outside consulting help on several occasions.
Most software companies require payment for major upgrades, some up to the full price of the original software if you did not purchase within the last year or two. Others, such as Adobe, have gone to charging annual subscription fees just to use their software, which I know most people do not like.
As an independent developer, I want to be fair to you, but am finding that a one-time purchase fee for PhiMatrix for the customer with support costs that go on for many years for me isn’t economically viable. Accordingly I’d like to ask you to help me in one of two ways for continuing to make PhiMatrix available to you, and to be able to provide ongoing support.
Annual Gold Support Service
If you can, please subscribe to my new PhiMatrix Annual Gold Support service. Only $7 per year includes free software updates, email support for technical questions, assistance with lost licenses and occasional news updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
